This leash is made using roughly 100 feet of cotton rope, hand braided using a Kumihimo disc. Kumihimo translates to "gathered threads", and is a technique that can be dated as early as 650AD in Japan. The braids were used to secure armour and adourn temples!
This leash is a twisted style of round braid that, once finished and pulled taut, is a chunkier style option than our eight strand round braid leashes. There is a little give to this style, but rest assured this braided rope is strong enough to secure large breeds! This leash is black and white in colour, and 4'10" in length, with a quick snap to attach to your pets collar or harness. Finished with a hand tied stopper knot, and wrapped to create a handle loop for easy use. This unique and handmade leash is 100% Canadian made, braided here in Lethbridge, AB.
